As part of GBI & IFA Magazine’s weekly question series polls, we recently ran another series of questions across our Twitter platforms (@GBIMagazine) (@IFAMagazine). The poll delved deeper into a wide range of industry topics and asked our audience a series of 4 questions on the subject in total. The results of the polls have since been revealed, and have been highlighted along with the questions, below:

1) Tax-efficient investments (EIS, VCT, BR etc) were not mentioned in the Spring Budget 2024. Was this a missed opportunity?

40% of participants voted that they believe that Tax-efficient investments not being mentioned in the Spring Budget was a missed opportunity, with 60% voting that they believe that it wasn’t really a missed opportunity.

 
 

2) Do you feel that the financial services industry have enough gender diversity?

75% of participants stated that they do believe that the financial services industry does believe that there is enough gender diversity currently, with 25% stating that they don’t currently believe that there is enough gender diversity.

3) Could the financial services industry do more to encourage gender diversity? Or is it down to individuals? #GenderDiversity

 
 

25% voted that they think the financial services industry could do more to encourage gender diversity, and 75% voted that they believe that this is an issue that is down to individuals and organisations

4) Is the new ‘British ISA’ a great idea or an added complication?

40% of participants voted that they believe the ‘British ISA’ is a great idea, with 60% being the majority, voting that they believe it is an added complication.
